Come and join us at some of the many events we are holding to celebrate 40 years of providing riding for the disabled hear in Essex. There is something here for everyone. Some are fundraising events, some are just celebrations, some require participation at others you can just observe. 7 July 2017 – AGM

Barrow Farm would like to invite you all to our Annual General Meeting on 7th July 2017. The trustees will provide a summary of the achievements of the year and we especially invite riders, their families and carers and volunteers to come along. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and lasts about 1 hour.

9 July 2017 – Strawberry Tea

Strawberry and scone

We are holding a Strawberry Tea to raise funds for running costs of Barrow Farm Riding for the Disabled on Sunday 9th July 2017. This coincides with our RDA Summer Show. Our riders will be competing in Countryside Challenge and Dressage Classes and you are more than welcome to come and watch or you can just come and enjoy the strawberry tea! There will be strawberries and cream, scones with clotted cream and jam plus tea on tap (with other drinks available too). Strawberry teas will be served from 11am onwards. We look forward to seeing you then!

29 October 2017 Companion Dog Show

Our ever popular Companion Dog Show is back on 29 October. Entries taken from 11am, £2.00 per class. Judging starts 12noon

2. Any Variety Sporting (Hound, Terrier, Gundog)
3. Any Variety Non Sporting (Working, Pastoral, Toy, Utility)
4. Any Variety Open
Best Pedigree in Show will now be judged

10. Best Veteran 7 – 9 years
11. Best Senior Veteran 10 yrs plus

14. Best Trickster (3 minutes limit)
15. Waggiest Tail
16. Irish Brace (mis-matched pairs)
17. Dog Most Like It’s Owner
18. Companion Club Class
Best Novelty in Show will now be judged

Dog Show will be held in indoor riding school. Refreshments available throughout the day. Licensed and held under Kennel Club Rules & Regulations. No bitches in season. No puppies under 6 months. No Challenge Certificate or Reserve Challenge Certificate Winners in pedigree classes. Classes may be split if too many for arena. All dogs to be kept on leads at all times. No dogs to be left unattended in vehicles in hot weather.
